The Perfect Shave

I got a little lazy this summer while I was on vacation in the Hamptons and I stopped shaving. I was wanting to change my look up a little bit so I decided to keep growing a beard. This past week I realized that it was time to shave, so I went over to Baxter Finely barber & Shop on La Cienega in Los Angeles. I have been for a shave once before and the experience was great.

Christian does such a good job. He is a master with that straight razor.

He trimmed my beard, put a hot towel on my face, applied warm shaving foam and went to work. It’s a strange sensation to be trusting someone else with a straight razor at your throat, but these guys are pros.

My face came out clean and smooth. It was almost shocking seeing my bare face after having a beard for 6 months!!

If you haven’t had a hot towel shave, I suggest treating yourself. It’s a little luxury that every guy should experience.

The Baxter products are also soo good. I swear by the clay pomade.
